Willo Labs Blackboard LTI 1.3 Implementation

Below you will locate the steps to set up your campus LMS with Blackboard LTI 1.3.  Your Willo team member will be in touch with you to provide you with more information in addition to receiving information regarding your Blackboard to ensure that Willo is connected properly.  If you should have any questions during the set up, please reach out to your Willo team member or Submit a Request to connect with a team member.

 

Blackboard Admin (LTI Tool Providers)

1. Log into Blackboard as an Administrator and navigate to the Admin tab.
2. Under Integrations, click LTI Tool Providers.
3. Click on Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool.

4. Enter the relevant Application ID into the Client ID field
   • US Schools: a02a4e53-1d68-4fc8-b940-2649f0effd81
   • Canadian Schools: 13d414f7-e2ed-493a-a769-60c18df4c94d

5. Define the following properties:
   
   • Note the Deployment ID that is provided.
   • Update Tool Status to Approved.
   • User Fields to Send: Select the following
     • Role in Course
     • Name
     • Email Address
   • Allow grade service access: Yes
   • Allow Membership Service Access: Yes
6. Click Submit.

Manage Placement (LTI Tool Providers)

1. Log into Blackboard as an Administrator and navigate to the Admin tab.
2. Under Integrations, click LTI Tool Providers.
3. Locate the new LTI 1.3 tool provider, select the down arrow to the right of the link and select Manage Placements. This tool provider will be called Willo LTI 1.3 Prod2 for US schools or Willo LTI 1.3 CA Prod2 for Canadian schools. 

4. Select Create Placement.

5. Define the following properties:
   • Label: Willo 1.3
   • Handle: willo-1.3
   • Availability: Yes
   • Type: Select Deep Linking content tool
   • Tool Provider URL:
     • US Schools: https://app2.willolabs.com/onelink/
     • Canadian Schools: https://ca2.willolabs.com/onelink/
   • Do not select Launch in New Window
     • Note that having this selected will cause an error pushing links back to Blackboard.
6. Click Submit.
7. Send the Deployment ID noted in step 5 of the LTI Tool Registration to your Willo Integrations Team or vendor contact to complete the connection.
