This article will guide students through the steps that they will take if they have chosen to opt out of the campus Inclusive Access program and the census period has ended.
Students will click on the Pearson Course Materials link in their LMS course section. If students have:
- not opted out of the course materials
- if they have purchased directly from Pearson as verified by the Pearson Entitlement API
they will be launched directly into their course materials.
After the census period, if students have opted out of the course materials, they will be presented with the following options when they launch the Pearson Course Materials link in their course.
** If you are unsure of when your census period is for your campus, please reach out to Follett Support and they will be able to assist.
1. Students who have opted out can select See Details to purchase materials outside of the IA/EA program.
2. Students who have purchased access through Pearson or their bookstore may select Verify Purchase to verify purchases made from the bookstore or from Pearson.
a. If verifying a purchase made from the bookstore, students will select the I bought from the bookstore option and enter the email address or digital PIN or access code provided to them and then click the Verify Purchase button.
b. If verifying a purchase made from Pearson, students will select the I bought from the publisher option and click the Verify through publisher button. At that point, Willo will call on the Entitlement API to confirm whether the student has purchased access through Pearson. Provided Willo has confirmed access, the student will be allowed into the course materials and will not see the opt screen on future launches.
